TODAY A STUDENT BECAME A MASTER

   Gitzel key interests is the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Pediatric medical, becoming a published author, or magazine writer/editor. One of her top resources is www.fbijobs.gov because they learned the requirements needed to join the FBI. One of their weakest resources is Wikipedia. She was able to find her resources by searching up her key interests and picked the out the website that caught her eye.

This website offers to show how to take care of your teeth and how to identify tooth decay or gum disease. Like tooth decay is basically cavities, when your tooth breaks down due to bacteria made of acids. Gum disease is when your gums start to inflame due to bacteria. Both can be prevented by just brushing and flossing your teeth.

Eric S. Yao explains the history of dental health. In 7000 bce, they used to use bow drills, which were used for woodworking tools, to fix cavities. Then later on in the middle ages in Europe, if you had a toothache, they would pull that tooth out. The first toothbrush invented was in 3000 bce, which was made out of twigs, and dental floss wasn't made until 1815.

Strubleortho gives really interesting facts about the history of dentistry. Like most Americans didn't brush their teeth every day only after WW2. The cotton candy machine used to be called "fairy floss" and was co-invented by a dentist. In 400ad, the formula for toothpaste was mint, salt, grains of pepper, and dried iris flower. There's 9 other facts on the website that are also interesting.

Omaha dentists also gives some facts about dental health. Like the hardest substance in the human body is your tooth enamel. Also, your tooth prints are like fingerprints because they're all different to each person. Someone in West Virginia used dental floss to escape prison in 1992, shows how durable dental floss can be.

CURIOSITY BRINGS THIS CAT TO LIFE

We were all given 3 articles and asked by Dr. Preston, "Why is curiosity important?". Our group chose this article because scholastic is pretty familiar to all of us and it's a source we can rely on.

Curiosity is an asset because curiosity urges people to find new information that can lead to much potential. Another reason is that curiosity can support students to keep more in focus and interested on subjects. It may also help students to find creative solutions to a problem.
